Jazz at the Ranch
Jazz at the Ranch provides a unique opportunity to experience the magic of Rancho Cielo up close while enjoying world-class entertainment for a good cause. Proceeds benefit Rancho Cielo’s programs, enrichment opportunities and direct-to-student services.
The Experience
Presented in partnership with Taylor Farms and in association with the Monterey Jazz Festival and YOSAL (Youth Orchestra Salinas), Jazz at the Ranch is held over multiple Friday evenings throughout September and October. The series boasts an incredible lineup of world-class jazz performers spanning various genres.
Tickets include a pre-performance happy hour with a delectable menu of hor d’oeuvres prepared by Monterey County chefs and served by culinary students. Guests can enjoy their appetizers with fine local wine and beer on the beautiful deck of Rancho Cielo’s Drummond Culinary Academy. Concerts are held at the Sally Hughes Church Amphitheater, where the sightlines across the Salinas Valley provide a stunning backdrop to watch the sunset.
Previous performances have included 11-time Grammy Award winner and former lead vocalist Tony Lindsay, acclaimed jazz guitarist Bruce Forman and his cowboy jazz and western bebop band Cow Bop, Monterey Jazz Festival Regional All-Star Band & Vocal Ensemble, Youth Orchestra Salinas (YOSAL), Jamaican jazz artist and Grammy nominee Monty Alexander, and jazz and cabaret singer Paula West.
