The beloved annual fundraiser makes a significant impact by helping to sustain vocational training for our students while also feeding families in need. Purchase boxes for yourself or donate boxes to families in need via the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County, Salvation Army Salinas, The Food Bank for Monterey County and Second Harvest Food Bank.

What’s in the boxes amounts to much more than healthy food options. It’s a taste of our home—what has been referred to as the “Salad Bowl of the World.” Every Veggie Box may include everything from strawberries and lettuce to artichokes and Brussels sprouts—each a symbol of the region’s agricultural backbone.

The week-long event concludes with a delicious BBQ lunch, prepared on-site by our culinary team and volunteers, on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 11:30am-1:00pm. Lunches are available by pre-order only and sell out fast. Enjoy your meal on our beautiful grounds, or take it to go.

NOTE: VEGGIE BOX ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY AUGUST 1 & BBQ LUNCH ORDERS BY AUGUST 15.

All proceeds from veggie boxes and BBQ lunches benefit Rancho Cielo programs.

We invite individuals and groups to sign up to volunteer, whether you want to give back to your community or your company is looking for a great team-building experience that supports a good cause.

Veggie Box Assembly: August 16, 2025

  • Assemble Boxes: Help build boxes.

Veggie Box Assembly: August 19-20, 2025

  • Assembly Line Lead – Help place boxes onto pallets and keep count.
  • Assembly Line Volunteer – Pack fresh veggies into each box.
  • End of Assembly Line Volunteer – Add flyers and close boxes at the end of the line.
  • Box Replenishment – Refill boxes for each assembly line during the event.
  • Box Breakdown – Help break down any extra boxes and place them in the recycling bin during the event.
  • Veggie Box Delivery Volunteer – Assist with delivering boxes during or after the event.
